I've been drawing variations of the same thing for over 25 years. Every time my pencil hits the paper it goes in the same direction. So much so that I have often had drawing "sabbaticals" where I don't draw for months, even years. I got to resent that I was stuck in a hole, unable to break out of what I considered as a "rut".
